Originally from Masssachusetts, Cheryl moved to Colorado after graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art. She made her home in the western part of the state where she lives with her husband and two children.

The maginificent scenery and clarity of light are inspirational sources for her paintings. The play of light on the landscape and the impact of one color next to another is what interest Cheryl. The colors and beauty of the landscape intrigue me as she express those qualities in her paintings. Working primarily on location she finds her inspiration directly from life. All of Cheryl's studio work is based on these studies. She is influenced by the beauty and simplicity of what she observes and she feels her art is a reflection of that. She strives to continually grow as an artist by challenging herself with new ideas and by constant study and hard work.

Cheryl has been fortunate to have studied with some of the premier plein air painters in the country, Matt Smith, Michael Lynch and Scott Christensen.
