Martha Mans is a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society since 1992 and the National Watercolor Society since 1999. Other societies that she holds signature membership to are the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and the New Mexico Watercolor Society. She is a recipient of the Silver Certificate of the San Diego Watercolor Society and is a member of the National Arts Club in New York. She is also an active member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society in Colorado Springs where she ives and has a studio.
Martha is a Master Instructor in Watercolor. She taught from 1992-1997 for the Art Student's League of Colorado Springs, CO. She also teaches watercolor workshops throughout the United States and abroad. She was director of the GHost Ranch Watercolor Workshops from 1987 to 1990 and is presently the director and instructor of one of her most popular workshops aboard the Clipper Ship "Star Clipper" where students paint and sail in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Seas.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carlow College in Pittsburgh, PA, and did graduate study at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and at the University of Southern California in Long Beach, CA.
